So, here are a few tips that may help you in choosing the right tuxedos for you...

Rent or Buy?

This is a common question that most men have when figuring out their wedding tuxedos. It is probably a good idea for your groomsmen to go ahead and just rent their tuxes. More so, if they are paying for them. Talk to your men and see if they are going to be wearing these wedding tuxedos in the future at all. If most see themselves wearing it often, then you might want everyone to go ahead and just buy their tuxedos.

Look before you leap and buy

Look and shop around at different stores, that way you have some options for wedding tuxedos. Different stores sometimes have different colors, styles, and prices. You want to find the best deal possible for what you are looking for.

Wedding Hair

One new bridal planning challenge is making decisions about bridal party hair, make-up and other expenses. Is each attendant required to pay for having their hair done for the wedding? What is appropriate when the bride requests that all the members of her party wear their hair in a special bridal theme style?

Your wedding day hairstyle is a significant aspect of the total bridal look, worth some thought. If you have a bad hair day, the photos to prove it will be around for years to come. On the plus side, it's a great opportunity to do something really special with your hair.

While it may be appropriate for a bridal attendant to pay for headgear to match her wedding gear, is it appropriate to be required to pay for a special updo or a pre-wedding spa trip?

Any bride's thoughts regarding a central hair or makeup theme needs to be discussed at the very beginning of the wedding planning stage. Consideration and communication with the bridal party about hair and make-up issues are critical in deciding who should foot the bill for what services. Some bridal consultants suggest that a central hair theme is appropriate for a formal day or evening wedding, but less important for an informal or casual wedding. Since it is more likely that a formal wedding will require a formal, floor length bridal attendant gown with matching headwear, co-ordinated hair styles probably be very reasonable.
Consider the time of day and type of wedding when choosing a style. Loose styles are appropriate for informal or daytime weddings, while up-do's portray a formal, evening look. Strive for balance. The hairstyle and headpiece needs to look balanced to the dress and body type. Like a puzzle, all the pieces fit together to make a lovely picture.

Remember some hairstyles can add inches to your height, and shorter brides may want to use this to their advantage. One option is to let the texture of the hair determine the style. Thicker and coarser hair stays up the best, while slicker or finer hair is better with the front up and the back down.

Will you be wearing a veil? If so, your hair style and your veil must work well together. It might be a good idea to get your veil first, or at least have some idea of the type veil you want.

Tiara headpieces continue to be popular. They look their most elegant atop a romantic style updo. That way, you can choose to wear a veil for the ceremony, but remove it for the reception if you wish, and show off the artwork of your updo!

Flower bouquet tips and ideas for your wedding...

Here's some additional bouquet suggestions and ideas.

Don't let your bouquet overwhelm you. A beautiful gown will be over-shadowed by a large, cascading bouquet.

Local, in-season flowers will guarantee freshness and lower cost, so choose a couple of seasonal staples such as orange blossoms, lavender, or tulips and use them as a base for bouquets, boutonnieres, and decorative arrangements.

Select flowers which will hold up for the entire day. Particularly if you are taking pictures before the ceremony or outside, you want to make sure that you select flowers that will still look gorgeous when you walk down the aisle.

Flowers in matching shades or cool contrasts are stunning, but make sure they suit your wedding. Bring a bridesmaid dress fabric swatch when you meet with your floral designer to make sure the color is matching.

Florists who specialize in weddings may do more than just blossoms; they also conceive and execute the design for your reception, from flowers to linens, candles, decorative trees, lights and more. You should start looking for a professional designer at least several months before the wedding, or earlier.

Consider silk flowers. Although not as traditional as real flowers, they are becoming more popular. Today, there are many realistic looking silks to be found. Beside that, silks are a less expensive alternative to real flowers. You also save money on preservation after the wedding.

Type of Bridal Bouquet

Flowers play an important role to make your wedding looks more beautiful.Normally, you will purchase more flowers for your wedding than for any other occasion in your life.

The choice of your wedding bouquet depends a great deal on the style of your gown. Another factor to be considered when choosing a bouquet is a season. Like many brides, you may decide to chose your bouquet based upon the time of year. Bouquets come in these principal types:

Cascade
The cascade is the most traditional and formal style of bridal bouquet. It's a waterfall like of blooms and greenery which is anchored in a hand held base. As the name implies, it resembles a cascade or waterfall with the flowers flowing downward. Traditional wedding flowers used in the cascade bouquet are white and include roses, stephanotis, white or calla lilies, and mingled with greenery.

Classic Hand-Tied Bouquet
This choice is a dense bunch of blooms either anchored in a bouquet holder, wired, or hand-tied. This option gives the illusion of a "just picked" bouquet of spring flowers.

Nosegay
This is actually a general term for any small, round cluster of flowers, all cut to a uniform length. They were all the rage in Victorian times and are popular once again. Usually made with one dominant flower or color, nosegays are wrapped tightly with ribbon or lace for a delicate effect.

Pomander
This style is a
bloom-covered ball suspended from a ribbon, perfect for child attendants.

Composite
Less well-known, this option is a handmade creation in which different petals or buds are wired together on a single stem, creating the illusion of one giant flower.

Beidermeier
This is a nosegay made up of concentric circles of different flowers for a somewhat striped effect.

Arm Bouquet
As the name implies, this is an elegant crescent shape, designed to be cradled in one arm.

Wearing a Black Wedding Dress

Nowadays,it is hard to see or maybe some of you never see a women wearing a black wedding dress. The idea of a black wedding dress might make some women cringe, but to an unconventional bride-to-be, a black wedding gown could be “the one.” Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to be Goth to look and feel great in a darker dress on the big day,but it is easy to go overboard. Here are some great tips and suggestions on how to totally rock your black wedding dress without going over the top.

  • Mix it with white. The best way to incorporate black in a wedding dress is to combine it with a classic white or even ivory.

  • Nix the dark makeup. If you’re looking into wearing a black wedding dress, however, dark eyeliner can make you look like something out of the graveyard.
  • Avoid heavy fabrics. Black velvet simply screams Gothic teenager. If you’re going dark, go with thinly layered chiffon or light satin.

  • Consider a tighter fit. Drenching yourself in layer upon layer of black fabric will only make you look like a Gothic prom queen in your black wedding dress. Look for something with a streamlined fit or a tighter bodice with a flowing skirt.

  • Don’t wear long sleeves.

  • Wear minimal jewelry. The focus is on your dress and you don’t want to look cluttered. That actually goes for any dress with strong colors or a lot of detail.

If you absolutely have your heart set on a corset style black wedding dress with a long velvet train, go for it. Just keep in mind that it’s not hard to step into a black wedding gown and feel more like the bride of Frankenstein than an actual bride.
